Membership
Hooded Plover
The Society has the following types of membership: Honorary and Life Fellows, Fellows, Associate Fellows and Student Fellows, as well as Corporate Membership. Membership is by nomination and election at a Meeting of the Society.
Fellow (FRSSA)
For persons with outstanding contributions to sciences or the advancement of sciences in South Australia
Associate Fellow (AFRSSA)
For
(a) Fellows of at least 10 years standing and who have retired
(b) Early Career Researchers (< 10 years since PhD completion)
(c) Members assisting in or interested in the promotion and diffusion of scientific knowledge and not meeting the criteria for Fellow
Student Fellow (SFRSSA)
Full-time or part-time student, who is not employed in a full-time capacity. The enrolment status of a Student Fellow must be verified by the supervisor, or equivalent person
Honorary Fellows (Hon FRSSA)
For persons distinguished for their attainment in science, or who shall have rendered meritorious service to the Society. Honorary Fellows may only be nominated for election by the Council.
Life Fellows (LFRSSA)
For Fellows who were enrolled as Life Fellows before 12 September 1974
Corporate Membership
Organisations seeking Corporate Membership, please contact the Society.

All new RSSA memberships are subject to nomination an approval process.
