There are the following types of membership: Honorary and Life Fellows, Sustaining Fellows, Fellows, Associate Fellows (partner of member) and Student Fellows.

Membership benefits:
  • broadening of one’s understanding of other disciplines by attending meetings which provide an opportunity to converse with other scientists
  • opportunity to inform other scientists from different fields about your special field by presenting lectures at the Society’s meetings and Symposia and by publishing in the Transactions
  • belonging to a venerable and prestigious South Australian institution whose past members include Wilson, Bragg and Mawson
  • becoming eligible to have your research nominated for the prestigious Verco Medal
  • receiving the Transactions.

Membership is by nomination and election at an Ordinary Meeting of the Society.
